Abstract

Environmental degradation and the challenges of globalization require the education sector to play an active role in promoting sustainability values from an early stage. Schools, as strategic educational institutions, have a crucial role in fostering students’ ecological awareness through policies oriented toward sustainable development. This article aims to analyze the concept and implementation of green school policies as an effort to strengthen sustainable education in the era of globalization. This study employs a library research method by reviewing relevant literature, including books, national and international journal articles, policy reports, and official documents related to green schools, sustainable education, and environmental education. The findings indicate that green school policies are not limited to improving the physical environment of schools but also involve integrating sustainability values into the curriculum, school culture, and the active participation of all school stakeholders. These policies contribute to the development of environmentally responsible, socially aware, and globally adaptive learners. Therefore, green school policies can be understood as a relevant and contextual educational strategy for strengthening sustainable education in the increasingly complex era of globalization.
